Not every building project begins with a planning application. Peak Building Design was approached to assist with obtaining retrospective planning permission for a summer house that had already been constructed within a residential garden in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The project required a review of the existing structure, its position within the garden and its relationship with the main dwelling and neighbouring properties. We prepared the necessary architectural drawings and supporting information to clearly communicate the development to the Local Planning Authority and support the retrospective application.
Our approach focused on presenting the existing summer house accurately, considering its scale, appearance and impact on the surrounding setting, while addressing the relevant planning considerations.
At Peak Building Design, we understand that navigating retrospective planning can feel daunting. We work closely with homeowners to assess their circumstances, prepare professional submissions and provide guidance throughout the process.
